About The Team The Child Protection and Forensic Medical Service (CPFMS) provide services to children who have been harmed or who are at risk of harm. The Clinical Nurse is an integral member of the CPFMS multi-disciplinary leadership team, who is responsible and accountable for quality and clinically effective paediatric nursing care at an expert level in the field of child protection. The Clinical Nurse provides collaborative family-centred care whilst promoting safe and professional standards of nursing practice and conduct, and providing support and direction to other nursing staff, students, interdisciplinary team and community agencies. About The Role The Clinical Nurse (CN) role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of child protection patients/residents/clients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met. This role works autonomously within the Healthcare Team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of child protection specialist nursing care. The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research. The role supports in management activities including portfolio responsibilities.
