Animal Management Attendant

Location and Hours Coffs Harbour, New South Wales Part-time / Casual From $32.65 per hour plus superannuation (12% super, 25% casual loading for casual). About the Role This role supports the daily operations of the City's Animal Management Centre, ensuring care, welfare, and safe release of impounded animals according to legislation and community expectations. Responsibilities include cleaning, feeding, exercising, and transporting animals, assisting with veterinary checks, microchipping, maintaining accurate records, providing high-quality customer service, supporting the rehoming of unclaimed animals, and promoting responsible pet ownership education. Requirements Available and flexible to work a seven‑day roster (Monday–Sunday). Certificate II in Animal Studies or equivalent qualification in animal care Hands‑on experience in domestic animal care Knowledge of statutory requirements for companion animals and welfare Strong written and verbal communication skills Customer service and digital skills Commitment to safety and following procedures Compensation and Benefits Permanent Part‑Time: 15.2hrs per week at $32.65 per hour + 12% super Casual: competitive hourly rate + 25% casual loading + 12% super Work at the City’s purpose‑built Animal Management Centre Numerous benefits (see attached details) About Us The City of Coffs Harbour strives to ensure the community can enjoy and grow the city’s opportunities.
