Panel Beater / Body Builder Location: Kincumber Depot Salary: $38.74 - $43.71 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Earning potential: $110,000 – $130,000+ including overtime and allowances. Role Responsibilities Assess damage to bus body panels and structures and provide accurate repair estimates. Remove and replace damaged panels, hoods, fenders and other body components using hand and power tools. Straighten and repair bent or damaged frame and body structure in compliance with OEM specifications, performing welding and fabrication work as needed. Blend and finish repaired areas to prepare for painting, ensuring a smooth, uniform finish. Prepare and clean all surfaces for paint application, including filing, grinding and sanding. Provide all body structural, accident damage and associated repairs, service and maintenance to vehicles within the skill level of the position. Maintain, prepare, replace and repair all vehicle body components, panels, frames and door systems. Manufacture, service and fit vehicle components constructed from aluminium, timber, steel, stainless steel, glass, fiberglass and sealing materials. Maintain clean workshop practices and meet high standards of the Workshops team. Ensure all maintenance and repairs follow company policies, procedures and are recorded on designated forms and documents. Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations. Hold Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology. Have proven experience as a Body Builder/Panel Beater, particularly with larger vehicles. Have experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles. Strong knowledge of bus body construction repair techniques, including welding and metalworking. Understand and adhere to WHS regulations and company policies. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Work effectively in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules. Apply a proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement. Be physically fit to carry out the role duties. Be willing to undergo a pre‑employment medical check and children check. Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold unrestricted working rights in Australia.
