About the Role We're looking for an I&E Pipeline Technician to join our Asset East team in Biloela. This role is responsible for providing technical capability during the commissioning phase and ongoing maintenance of new and existing electrical/instrument equipment across the assets. Key Responsibilities Review and assist with pipeline activities and methodology. Review tooling and facilities for maintenance activities and provide recommendations. Maintain a high-level focus on safety and the environment. Provide technical assistance for maintenance activities. Assist the maintenance team to meet overall objectives. Assist in commissioning activities as required. Active participation in work permit and JSA activities to ensure a safe work environment during commissioning tasks. Hands‑on testing, commissioning, and maintenance of various types of electrical/instrument equipment (EEHA). Qualifications QLD Electrical Trade Licence. Experience in testing, commissioning & maintenance of electrical and instrument equipment in a hazardous area. Experience with a Permit to Work system. Experience interpreting electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and P & I D’s. Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental practices. Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS); Origin’s is currently SAP. Ability to manage a workload. Proven experience in similar roles. Good computer literacy. Desirable Requirements Experience in testing & commissioning of LV electrical systems. EEHA qualification and experience. 10+ years’ experience. Formal qualification in instrumentation. Experience with Hart instrumentation protocol. Yokogawa PLC & DCS experience. Formal high‑voltage qualification.
