SENIOR NETWORK PLANNER

The Role This senior role provides leadership, planning advice and analysis to assist the development and delivery of Transport for Brisbane’s public transport network to meet the current and future needs of customers, ensure the commercial viability of services and contribute to city-wide public transport outcomes. This role supports the Network Planning Manager by providing leadership to oversee workflow and resource utilisation within the Network Planning team, and undertaking and coordinating independent planning, research, analysis and investigations to assist in the development of individual and integrated service plans. To be successful, you will need to have : Demonstrated evidence of capabilities of Council’s Leadership Blueprint to provide leadership and direction to direct reports, as well as across different areas of Transport for Brisbane. An understanding of public transport planning principles and methodologies and demonstrated superior ability to undertake investigations of complex planning projects based on sound transport, economic and land use planning principles. Demonstrated ability to cultivate productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes. Strong research, analysis and problem‑solving skills including the ability to proactively identify management issues, utilise public transport business intelligence tools, and computerised scheduling and rostering techniques. Well‑developed oral and written communication skills across a range of stakeholders including peers, senior management, Councillors, the community and other levels of government. Experience achieving project outcomes such as developing, managing and implementing complex planning and transport network projects.
