CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole. Court Assessment & Prosecutions (CAPs) Officers conduct a range of activities including conducting court assessments to determine an individual's suitability for a court order, facilitating the variation or cancellation of an order, or prosecuting individuals who fail to comply with their orders. CAPS Officers also provide high quality evidence-based advice to the judiciary in relation to sentencing and liaise with a range of stakeholders in order to deliver the best outcomes for individuals and the community. To be successful in this role, you will have: experience or knowledge of court processes, prosecutions or related areas an ability to provide human services in needs assessment and development of interventions capability to provide evidence-based advice and recommendations to the court that maximise offender responsiveness interventions strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills an ability to manage individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours and elevate as required. A relevant qualification in social work, law, human services, criminal justice or criminology and experience in a court advice, assessments or prosecutions field is also desirable.
