We deliver a diverse range of high-quality supports including assistance with daily living, community participation, and tailored capacity‑building services. We also provide safe and stable short- and long‑term living arrangements that foster a strong sense of family, community, and belonging. The Role As a Disability Support Worker, you’ll deliver person‑centred supports to participants living with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and live as independently as possible. This role involves assisting with daily living, community access, social engagement, and capacity‑building activities. Key Responsibilities Assist high‑care participants with personal care, feeding, showering, toileting, medication, and household tasks Prepare meals suitable for individual physical needs and dietary requirements, including dysphagia management Support participants to engage in community, social, and recreational activities Assist with mobility and transport, including attending appointments with healthcare professionals (e.g., doctors, dentists, podiatrists, therapists) Mentor participants to develop daily living and community participation skills according to their individual goals Build capacity for participants requiring high‑care support Provide companionship and emotional support Implement behaviour support strategies as outlined in behaviour support plans Maintain accurate and timely case notes, reports, and participant progress documentation What We’re Looking For Strong understanding of NDIS principles, person‑centred support, and participant rights Current First Aid and CPR certification Knowledge of safe medication administration and food preparation for special dietary needs Ability to support participants with diverse disabilities, including those with complex care and co‑existing mental health needs Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to work independently with initiative and professionalism Resilience and patience in supporting participants with challenging behaviours Caring, supportive, and empathetic nature Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field, or at least two years of relevant work experience in lieu Minimum one year of relevant work experience in disability or aged care What’s in It for You Competitive pay and employment conditions Supportive team culture and ongoing training Opportunities for career growth and development Salary offered : $68,000 – $77,000 per annum plus superannuation How to Apply Please send your resume and cover letter to : Great Supports HR #J-18808-Ljbffr
