Overview Arrahman College is an innovative and dynamic Islamic school that first opened its doors in 2022. In 2026, the College will proudly cater for Kindergarten to Year 7, with an anticipated enrolment of 350 students. Situated in a thriving, high-growth area, Arrahman College is on an exciting journey of expansion towards a full Kindergarten to Year 12 offering, with a planned capacity of 800 students. The Role Arrahman College is seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, and experienced Secondary Science Teacher to join our growing team. We are looking for a dedicated educator who embraces the philosophy of education within an Islamic school setting and is passionate about nurturing young minds. This is a full‑time position (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday). Responsibilities Support and promote the Islamic values and culture of the College; Deliver engaging and high‑quality classroom experiences; Work closely with the Secondary Curriculum Coordinator to implement the College’s vision and learning goals; Contribute to the academic, spiritual, and co‑curricular life of the College; Create and maintain effective learning environments that meet the diverse needs of students; Build strong professional relationships with students, staff, and families; Design structured and meaningful learning opportunities with clear goals and expectations; Apply a range of teaching strategies to support students’ physical, social, and intellectual development; Use student data and feedback to inform practice and monitor progress; Engage parents, caregivers, and the community in the learning journey through positive collaboration. Qualifications & Requirements Commitment to the Islamic ethos and values of Arrahman College; Understanding of and alignment with the College’s Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan; Accreditation at (or working towards) Proficient Teacher level with NESA; Knowledge of current curriculum requirements, pedagogy, and assessment practices; Professionalism, integrity, and respect for confidentiality; Willingness to participate in excursions, camps, and co‑curricular activities. To be successful, you will demonstrate Strong knowledge of lesson design to meet the needs of diverse learners; Ability to establish safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments; Competence across the full learning cycle: planning, teaching, assessment, feedback, and reporting; Creativity in making learning exciting, relevant, and meaningful; Proficiency in using assessment tools to track and support student growth; Relevant teaching qualifications and accreditation for NSW schools; A commitment to student wellbeing and child safety; Collaborative skills to work effectively with colleagues and leadership teams; Dedication to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice. Flexibility of Teaching Duties While the primary responsibility of this position is to teach Secondary Science, the successful applicant may also be required to teach related subjects or undertake other reasonable teaching duties to support the operational needs of the College. Remuneration Salary will align with the Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative Multi‑Enterprise Agreement 2025 at the successful applicant's level of responsibility and experience.
