Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available More than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this role Location: Largs North SA 5016 Established fishing company working the Australian Fishing Zones, catching predominantly crabs, seeks the following full time fishing industry positions. This company maintains a drug & alcohol free workplace; employees can be subject to random drug & alcohol testing. This is a condition of employment. You will be based in the above region but may be required to work in other locations subject to operational requirements. Positions Ship’s Master Ships Engineer (Fishing) Master Fisher Ship’s Officer Fishing and Deckhands Successful candidates should ideally have at least 5 years relevant experience in this particular industry sector for ranked positions. Sealtime of less than 5 years may be considered subject to your experience. Where you are required to hold a license or registration, you must hold the appropriate tickets or you will not be considered. For all positions, you must provide verifiable references. You need to be strong as the position involves working on a deck, often in heavy seas and sometimes in cramped spaces. Ranked positions may include managing fishing operations aboard your vessel in consultation with the company owners. You will be away from home for several days or occasionally weeks. Normally there is usually a short turnaround before returning to sea. For successful candidates, salary or percentage of catch rate per industry standards will be negotiated according to qualifications, skills, experience and performance in the same or similar occupation. Salary Range Ship’s Master: $120,000.00 or greater, subject to negotiation Ships Engineer (Fishing): $72,000–$82,000 Master Fisher: $75,000–$82,000 Ship’s Officer: $72,000–$82,000 Deck and Fishing Hands: $68,800–$78,000 All the above occupations are subject to government regulated superannuation guarantee.
