Your Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager Therapeutic Services to lead the delivery of a suite of therapeutic care programs. This role is pivotal in overseeing and integrating key service areas including Out of Home Care Foster Care Kinship Care First Supports ACSASS and Aboriginal Access Point. Reporting to the General Manager Families and Communities the Manager Therapeutic Services is responsible for the day to day operational management of a diverse and multidisciplinary team. You will ensure the effective integration of programs to maximise outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children families and communities across the Mallee region. Key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership across all therapeutic service areas ensuring high quality culturally safe service delivery that meets accreditation and compliance standards driving continuous improvement risk management and quality assurance initiatives developing and maintaining a responsive operational framework aligned with MDASs Strategic Plan and exercising delegated authority to make informed community focused decisions in line with MDAS policies and procedures. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to promote and actively lead the Family and Community Services Leadership team including staff development and change management activities. Demonstrated ability to communicate consult liaise and negotiate with a broad range of people both Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal people at all levels to achieve broad project objectives and goals. Experienced working independently under broad direction to plan activities and set priorities that achieve objectives and meet deadlines often in a context of conflicting priorities. Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people particularly those relevant to Family and Community. Knowledge of current national and state government strategies and initiatives. Comprehensive knowledge of the Child and Families Act 2005. Experience in taking action to provide services that are inclusive of Aboriginal people and engage in learning about other cultures to better establish relationships and improve services Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Community Services or Management or related field and demonstrated relevant experience. Other Screening Requirements Valid Drivers License that allows you to drive in Australia. Victorian Employee Working with Children Check card. National Police Check.
