Do you have a tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) and/or Social Work (or equivalent) and experience in the delivery of support services to families and children? You might be exactly the person we’re looking for This is a highly specialised role where you’ll be working alongside vulnerable community members and their children to support parent‑child relationships. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team with other counsellors, caseworkers and support workers and support a caseload of 16 children and their families where there is a 3‑year‑old eligible for kindergarten (pro rata). Your days will consist of outreach home visits to these families, relationship and capacity building with the parents that encourage effective in‑home learning, connection, sustaining relationships with wrap‑around services as well as kindergarten teaching teams. You’ll become a part of the Pedagogy team within the Children’s Services branch. The successful applicant will join the AEL professional partnership (there are 2 AELs at Yarra).
