About the Role A school of Good Samaritan Education Rosebank College seeks expressions of interest in the position of Counsellor / Psychologist to join the Rosebank Pastoral Care team for 3 days permanent part-time per week (term time only) and 1 day temporary for 2026 only starting at the commencement of Term 1 2026 (27 January 2026). The position is a permanent part-time job for 3 days per week with one additional 1 day covering a flexible working arrangement for 2026. The preferred days are Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Friday; however the College is open to considering another combination. This can be discussed with the interviewed candidates. The role of the College Counsellor / Psychologist is to promote academic success positive psychological health and social and emotional well-being. This is achieved through a collaborative approach by supporting and advising students staff and parents in dealing with the various dimensions of adolescence school and family life. The Counsellor / Psychologist reports directly to the Dean of Pastoral Care and is a member of the Pastoral Leadership Team. This role provides the Pastoral Leadership Team with advice and information on professional matters regarding student welfare supporting their work in the just and compassionate management of student wellbeing. About You To be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria : Relevant tertiary qualifications The ability to work effectively and cohesively with staff and students as a member of the Pastoral Leadership Team Knowledge and skills in approaches to adolescent development including mental health assessment and interventions A strong duty of care for young people and a commitment to providing confidential and evidence-based service Ability to provide psychoeducation about adolescent mental health to teaching staff Ability to collaborate with educators in formulating support programs for students Complete registration as a psychologist with AHPRA Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to demonstrate an understanding of current child-safe principles including legislation and guidelines Possess a valid Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to the child safeguarding principles Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College Desirable criteria : Experience in delivering well-being interventions programs and staff professional developmen Previous experience working as a psychologist within a secondary school The Process If you meet the requirements of this position please click the Apply button to submit your online application to the Principal of Rosebank College.
