The OpportunityHaving been awarded several new lucrative contracts this national Building Services Contractor is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager. Working out of their newly opened Yorkshire regional office you will initially be based on a multi-million pound new build prison contract managing the mechanical site operatives and sub-contractors.The PositionAs the Mechanical Site Manager you will be responsible for;Receiving and reviewing drawings and specifications from client or main contractorResolving discrepancies with the clientEnsuring work is carried out to a high standardEnsuring each contract is maximised on returnsMaintaining good working relationships with clients and main contractorsCompleting company paperwork clearly and legiblyRecording variations to contract and provide information to QSAssisting interims and final account paymentsCompleting monthly cost to complete (WIP) on all live projects every monthReviewing all tender information on handover on each project from the Estimating TeamReading, understanding and implementing the Company Health and Safety Policy and QA at all timesThe PersonThe Mechanical Site Manager should possess the following;NVQ Level 1 in Mechanical InstallationMinimum 3 years relevant experience in mechanical installationsDemonstrated competence in the use of standard commercial communications and word/date processing equipment and applicationsExperience of managing projects from £500K to £3M in valueAbility to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and statutory bodiesAccuracy and precision in preparation of documentsAbility to remain calm and focused under pressureTo hold a full UK Driving LicenseApex Resourcing Solutions is an employment agency acting on behalf of this company
