Trainee CNC Sectional Laser Operator (4/4 Rotating Roster) Location: Perth | Full-Time | 4/4 Rotating Roster - Day and Night shift Purpose The Trainee CNC Sectional Laser Operator reports to the Sectional Laser Leading Hand and plays a key role in supporting CNC sectional laser cutting processes. As a Trainee Operator, you will work closely with experienced Sectional Laser Operators and Trade Assistants while learning to operate our advanced machinery safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate our advanced 3D Tube Laser Machine to meet job specifications and production targets within the sectional laser area. Safely load and unload materials using overhead cranes. Monitor sectional laser operations, identify issues early, and ensure smooth workflow. Carry out routine maintenance to keep sectional laser equipment in top condition. Inspect final products to ensure they meet required quality levels. Maintain accurate production documentation and sectional laser records. Keep your workstation clean, organised, and safety compliant. Follow all organisational policies and procedures. Adhere to safe work practices and uphold your duty of care under the Work Health & Safety Act 2020 . Always wear required PPE and report safety concerns immediately. Report hazards, incidents, injuries, or illnesses to your supervisor without delay. Actively participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions. Perform additional tasks as directed to support the sectional laser team and overall organisational goals. Academic & Trade Qualifications Essential Forklift licence Current manual driver’s licence Work Experience & Skills Essential Experience working with CNC laser machines Desirable Experience with Bystronic laser machines What’s in it for You?
