Profectus Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Profectus is supporting a high‑priority national program focused on the sustainment and advancement of secure, deployable ICT systems. These systems support operational readiness across multiple environments and require robust, scalable, and well‑integrated virtual environments. As part of a small specialist team, you will contribute to engineering and uplift activities, helping to mature these systems through development, sustainment, and production deployment. Responsibilities Designing and documenting system architecture and interfacing requirements. Developing, integrating, and maintaining Windows‑based software components. Supporting the automation of installation processes. Building and administering Windows systems in a production environment. Providing Level 3 support for production issues and incident resolution. Supporting knowledge transfer and training initiatives. Developing and implementing patch management plans. Maintaining configuration control, SOPs, BLIs, and technical documentation. Contributing to the uplift of systems from development to production environments. Mandatory Skills Over 8 years of software development experience. Experience with Windows environment development using Microsoft tools. Powershell script development and Group Policy configuration. Windows SOE creation via PXE. CI/CD technologies (e.g., Gitlab Actions). Active Directory and ADFS configuration. Troubleshooting and maintaining existing code. SharePoint administration and configuration. KVM virtualisation and OpenStack experience. Technical advice and documentation skills. Networking experience at layers 2 and 3. Deployable CIS experience. Systems engineering process familiarity. Defence Capability Lifecycle understanding. Experience in agile frameworks. Bash or Python scripting. Why Join Profectus?
