Environmental Technical Officer / Environmental Consultant EnviroProtect (Vic) Pty Ltd – Williamstown VIC Excellent opportunities for an Environmental Technical Officer and an Environmental Consultant to join a well-established specialised company. EnviroProtect is a Melbourne-based company and has been a forerunner in Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Consultancy for over 30 years. EnviroProtect is seeking talented and self-driven Consultants to work in contaminated land assessments. Preferred candidate's will have the following qualifications, experience and abilities: POSITION 1 - ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICAL OFFICER Ability and willingness to perform field-based physical tasks involving environmental data collection (soil, groundwater, air, etc.) and occupational hygiene services such as asbestos sampling and assessment. Experience working in the contaminated land sector (including assessment/remediation of contaminated land and groundwater) will be highly regarded. Excellent communication and customer service skills (ability to network and engage with clients). Strong organizational abilities, including scheduling and inventory management. Willingness to travel interstate from time to time as required. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. POSITION 2 - ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT Tertiary qualifications in environmental engineering/science, hydrogeology or other related discipline. Minimum of 3 years professional experience in assessment/remediation of contaminated land and groundwater. Ability to use your technical background to deliver high quality work in contaminated land assessment. Demonstrated experience in contaminated land field investigations and reporting under the National Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measure and familiarity with the Victorian contaminated land legislation. Fieldwork experience involving environmental data collection (soil, groundwater, air, etc.). Ability to network and engage with clients. Accurate reporting skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships at various levels. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. The roles will involve a wide range of projects including: Preliminary and detailed site investigations Design, supervision and validation of remediation programs The positions are available to start immediately and you will be joining a very supportive and collaborative team.
