GP Academy is building a small academic leadership team to shape the next phase of our Fellowship programs. We’re looking for a GP-educator who enjoys practice, thrives on collaboration, and wants to leave a lasting mark on how General Practice is taught in Australia. About the Role This half-time appointment (0.5 FTE) is designed to sit comfortably alongside ongoing clinical work, keeping you connected to patients while leading national education initiatives. You’ll guide curriculum structure, ensure clinical accuracy, mentor tutors, and work with the CEO and Head of Operations to make every GP Academy program clinically sharp, engaging, and relevant. Hybrid onsite/remote, or fully remote (open to applicants Australia-wide). Base $120,000 – $135,000 + 12 % super + performance bonus $45,000 in Year 1. Following a successful first year, the base salary rises to $145,000 + super + bonus, recognising leadership and long-term contribution. Total Year 1 package ≈ $215,000 pro rata, including professional-development and wellbeing support. You Bring FRACGP obtained within the past 10 years ≥ 12 months full‑time ED or ICU experience in Australia ≥ 4 years total hospital‑based experience in Australia across medicine, surgery, paediatrics, O&G, and psychiatry ≥ 3 years in community General Practice in Australia Alumnus of GP Academy (completed at least one written‑exam preparation course) Demonstrated ability in teaching, assessment writing or educational leadership Calm, collaborative, and open to feedback and new ideas Support for Your Work and Growth We invest in people who love learning as much as they love medicine.
