As Cook you are a valuable member of the team working under direction and support of the Chef Manager. Location Located in the Mandurah area, Aegis Greenfields caters for up to 106 residents and provides high quality care services in a homely, modern, and welcoming living environment. Aegis Greenfields utilize state-of-the-art equipment providing Residents with quality care and easier working conditions for our staff. About the Role A working day will involve: Organising kitchen staff in the preparation and serving of meals. Preparing resident’s meals according to dietary plans and menus developed. Managing receipt of stores, and food storage according to the relevant regulations. Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed. About You You should ideally be an empathetic person who: Enjoys working with the elderly. Can work independently and as part of a team. Is able to supervise, organise and guide staff, to deliver high quality catering outcomes. Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends. Can communicate effectively both verbally and written. You should possess the following: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent). Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people. Aged Care experience (highly regarded). A high level of food safety knowledge. Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance. Aegis Provides Paid orientation program. Competitive rate of pay.
