About the Role and Team We are seeking a visionary leader to join our Customer Services Group as Manager, Service Portfolio and Business Innovation. As Manager, you will Lead and influence the strategic direction and performance of all service portfolio and business innovation functions within the Customer Services Group champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-centricity oversee budget planning, risk and safety governance, project delivery, and change leadership drive process simplification and operational agility, embedding lean practices for smarter service delivery strengthen governance and data-informed leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability build strong relationships with executives, stakeholders, and external partners to advocate for Group priorities. Key Accountabilities Lead planning, coordination, and performance monitoring of service portfolios to align with Council’s strategic objectives champion transformation initiatives to deliver efficient, customer-focused services represent the Group Executive in strategic forums and advance Customer Service Group interests ensure compliance with governance, risk, and budgetary requirements providestrategic insights through data analysis to support evidence-based decisions develop a high-performing team and foster a values-driven culture aligned with Council’s Leadership Blueprint. What we are looking for Experienceinfluencing the organisational performance drivers,people, finance, services, systems, and risk,within complex public sector environments provenexpertisein service portfolio management, performance reporting, and delivering actionable insights to executive stakeholders commercial acumen and arecordof leading best practice and continuous improvement across customer-facing services advanced communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills demonstrated leadership in building high-performing teams and fostering a collaborative, values-based culture relevant tertiary qualifications in Public Administration, Business, Commerce, or similarare desirable post-graduate qualifications in Management or similar managerial training would behighly regarded.
