About Us North Shore Veterinary Specialist Centre (NSVSC) is one of Australia’s most established multidisciplinary referral hospitals, proudly co‑located with the historic North Shore Veterinary Hospital (est. 1935). We are a 24/7 referral and emergency facility offering specialist‑led services in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Dentistry and Exotics, supported by a progressive GP practice and dedicated nursing team. Our purpose‑built, state‑of‑the‑art facility (opened 2019) features: Comprehensive in‑house laboratory Advanced diagnostic imaging (2 ultrasound suites, digital X‑ray, 128‑slice GE CT scanner, MRI installed 2022) Dedicated ICU with cot bed, oxygen cages, mechanical ventilators, bedside blood gas, thromboelastography and a feline blood bank The Opportunity This casual role is perfect for veterinarians who want flexibility without compromising on professional growth. You’ll gain hands‑on exposure to diverse ECC cases in a specialist‑led environment, supported by a passionate team of nurses and clinicians. Working alongside our Criticalist, Dr Kerry Doolin, you’ll refine your clinical skills, strengthen your case management and grow your confidence in a collaborative, learning‑focused hospital. About You We’d love to hear from you if you: Hold a BVSc, DVM or equivalent, with eligibility for registration in NSW Have at least 3 years of clinical experience (ECC or emergency experience highly regarded, but not essential) Are confident, compassionate and calm under pressure Enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering exceptional patient care Are driven to continue learning and advancing your emergency medicine skills Why join NSVSC?
