The Inspirations Paint Nerang Store is looking for an enthusiastic Trade/Retail Specialist Sales Assistant for a full‑time position. As part of the DuluxGroup, a leading marketer and manufacturer of premium branded products, Inspirations Paint employees are part of Australia’s largest network of paint stores, serving both retail (DIY) and trade (professional/commercial) markets. The successful applicant would ideally have a background in retail sales, paint knowledge or relevant personal experience in home improvement projects and be genuinely interested in people and their projects, providing an exceptional customer experience to both our retail and trade customers. The position is available for immediate start to an enthusiastic and motivated individual seeking an opportunity to develop their career in a supportive work environment. Store hours are 6:30am‑5:00pm Monday to Friday and 7:00am‑4:00pm Saturday. Responsibilities Build relationships with key customers by providing an exemplary customer experience to both retail and trade customers. Provide advice to customers, tinting and mixing paint accurately. Follow the “Inspirations Way” guiding philosophy. Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge in the areas of paint and protective coatings, while assisting with sales, stock control and merchandising. Maintain store presentation, stock management and housekeeping. Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety. Experience & Attributes Demonstrated customer service with personalized customer focus. Well presented in appearance and communication. Able to contribute and work in a team environment. Proven sales experience and strong knowledge of paint and associated products. Approachable, confident and energetic with a pleasant disposition and the ability to effectively deal with customer queries and/or complaints. Attention to detail, initiative and the ability to learn new systems. Honest, reliable and punctual. This role involves heavy lifting up to 25 kg.
