We proudly support ADF Reserves with paid Defence Reservist Leave A comprehensive physical, mental and financial Wellbeing Program Flexible Working Arrangements Regular workplace events and functions About the Role We are looking for a keen up and coming Aviation Engine Maintenance Apprentice to join our team to support the most exciting engine platforms in the defence sector, – the legendary F/A 18 Super Hornet’s F414 engine, the M1 Abrams AGT1500 Tank engine and the F135 engine that powers the most advanced fifth-generation fighter in the world – the F35 Lightning II. Performing heavy engine maintenance activities including strip, detailed inspection, and assembly Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved publications, technical data, and work instructions Maintaining documentation of work in progress Performing maintenance supervisory/inspection duties as specified by aviation regulators Continually looking for way to improve in efficiency and effectiveness Taking all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and the safety of others Desired Skills and Experience Skills, Qualifications & Experience Completed the theory component of Certificate IV mechanical trade qualification Experience with strip, inspection and assembly of mechanical aviation components in a training or work experience environment. Awareness of airworthiness rules and regulatory requirements Awareness of recording in Aviation maintain documentation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to read and interpret technical manuals to meet regulatory requirements A passion and drive to deliver to keep their customers flying If this is you, then please submit your application today Additional Requirements: Due to the nature of our work and the requirements of our customers, all applicants may be required to hold Australian citizenship and need to meet ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and/or EAR (Export Administration Regulations) compliance as part of employment eligibility.
