Our Food Studies faculty is a dynamic and collaborative team committed to engaging students in meaningful learning about food, nutrition, culture, and sustainability. We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Food Studies Teacher to join our learning community. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore the world of food, develop essential skills, and understand the impact of food choices on health, society, and the environment. This is an ongoing part time (0.5 to 0.6 FTE) position to commence at the beginning of 2026. The classes will include (may be subject to change): Year 7 Design and Technologies – Food Year 10 Design and Technologies – Food You will: Plan and deliver engaging, hands‑on lessons Support students in developing food preparation, planning, and analytical skills Incorporate contemporary issues such as nutrition, sustainability, and ethical food production Model the values and mission of Catholic education through relationships, curriculum and daily interactions Work collegially to shape a positive learning culture across the College We want to hear from you if you are an educator who: Holds current registration (VIT) and relevant tertiary qualifications Holds accreditation to teach in a Catholic School (or willing to obtain) Experience in teaching Food Studies or related practical subjects Values collaboration, professional growth, and student‑centred learning Embodies the College’s values of compassion, justice, hope, truth, and love Why Join Us: Be part of a welcoming, values‑driven school where staff feel supported and connected Access development opportunities, and the chance to build your career Join a team that values collaboration, integrity, and care for the school community Dedicated Staff Wellbeing Plan that honours our community and supports our staff Teaching Staff Responsibilities Your application, including the names of three referees, should be addressed to Ms Rita Grima, Principal, and submitted via our online form.
