Regional Services & Operations Manager (Oceania) (90M ) Sydney, Australia Salary: AUD - AUD per annum + 12% Superannuation Rare opportunity to work with a globally recognised Tier-1 commercial aircraft manufacturer Great scope of moving up to executive level within a growing regional operation Opportunity to work with Oceania’s top Airline companies The Company Our client is a Canadian commercial aerospace giant offering new aircraft manufacturing, engineering, aftermarket modifications, parts manufacturing and flight training services for over 100 years. They currently have approximately 1,200 employees across 3 major provinces within Canada and as well as in markets and distribution hubs world-wide. They are currently supplying aircraft and avionic engineering services to major Australian flight providers with Qantas and Jetstar being some of their major clients. Role in brief The Regional Support Office Manager will be responsible for the activities of the Aftermarket team of employees in our Sydney office, as well as those remotely located within the Oceania/APAC region. The manager will oversee day-to-day activities and provide high level support to our customers in region as a point of escalation or support. The successful candidates must be able to travel to Canada for an initial training period of 2 to 3 months and ongoing training for several weeks per year. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide leadership/direction (strategic & tactical) to a cross-functional/matrix-based organization Develop financial and operational objectives for the region responsible Manage resources to ensure objectives are met within the area Provide guidance and manage performance of staff through goal setting and coaching Liaise responsibilities with Local Regulatory Authorities Act as the in-region management focal point for all Aftermarket responsibilities Work closely with customers, collaborators and stakeholders to uphold the company values and priorities Develop strategic support plans for customers in the region Actively problem solve with the local teams to provide real-time solutions Manage office related business, including but not limited to, Legal Entity, Payroll, Benefits and Governance EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related technical field 7-10 years working in the Aviation/Aerospace Industry in progressive roles with minimum 2 years managing cross-functional teams Experience managing cross-functional projects Familiarity with product types like DHC 1-8, Aerial Fire Fighter Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present and/or facilitate sessions with internal and external leadership Ability to solve complex cross-functional issues Comfortably making decisions in real-time Strong customer-centric mindset, with a focus on exceeding customer expectations Salary and Work Rights Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents.
