Position Description: Fundraising and Events Manager Position Title: Fundraising and Events Coordinator 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Reports to: Executive Team Location: Jannali and Hurstville Primary Purpose The Fundraising and Events Manager plays a pivotal role in driving The Family Co.’s mission by designing and delivering impactful fundraising campaigns, memorable events, and strategic donor engagement initiatives. This role is focused on building meaningful community connections, securing sustainable income streams, and elevating the organisation’s profile across the Sutherland Shire and beyond. With creativity, passion, and purpose, the Fundraising and Events Manager will lead efforts that inspire generosity, strengthen partnerships, and make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable families. Key Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive annual fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Executive Team. Plan, deliver, and evaluate major fundraising events (e.g., gala, luncheons, community campaigns). Grow and maintain Donor relationships and sponsorships. Identify and apply for community fundraising initiatives and opportunities. Donor & Stakeholder Engagement Develop donor stewardship programs to retain and grow individual giving. Create compelling fundraising campaigns across digital and traditional platforms. Manage relationships with sponsors, partners, and community supporters. Event Management Coordinate logistics, budgets, and stakeholder engagement for events. Ensure all events are delivered professionally, on time, and within budget. Evaluate impact and continuously improve event outcomes. Building strong relationships with committees, volunteers, suppliers and corporate event partners. Developing event collateral and communications and supporting marketing campaigns. Achieve annual fundraising targets Communications & Marketing Support Work with marketing/communications team to promote events and campaigns. Contribute to newsletters, social media, and donor communications. Ensure messaging aligns with organisational purpose and values. Governance & Reporting Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, and donor information. Provide regular fundraising performance reports to management. Ensure compliance with fundraising legislation and ethical standards. Key Selection Criteria Relevant tertiary qualifications (marketing, communications, events, fundraising, or related field) or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years’ experience in fundraising, events management, or partnerships. Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver successful fundraising events. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing fundraising and sponsor materials. Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects. Able to demonstrate confidence, initiative, adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience using CRM tools, and other technologies. A desire for continuous improvement and professional development. A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel and work at out-of-hours events. A valid WWCC and current Police Check. Experience in the not-for-profit or community services sector. Knowledge of fundraising compliance and donor databases/CRM systems.
