Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Visiting Nursing - Full-time Overview Join our visiting nursing team in a full-time, regular position. You will provide medical care and support to clients in their homes and other community settings across Nova Scotia, with an evening schedule (2-10pm). This role offers clinical autonomy, opportunities to work to full scope, and community impact. Responsibilities Provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in clients’ homes and other community settings. Diabetes management, dialysis, medication management, palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care (including negative pressure wound therapy and complex wounds). Deliver care to clients in various community settings and coordinate with the care team as part of the Visiting Nursing program. What you’ll be doing Practice to full scope of an LPN with clinical autonomy. Engage in ongoing learning and professional development. Contribute to a supportive team environment and make a difference in the community. What We Need From You Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice (Nova Scotia). Experience in community health is an asset. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle required. Current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check; Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Working conditions This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. Individuals in the role will walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
