Warehouse Support Officer

We are looking for a capable “mover and shaker” to be our Warehouse Support Officer, with experience in inventory control, knowledge of the non‑profit sector and working with a team of volunteers. Working closely with our Chief Operations Officer, the Warehouse Support Officer will implement, perform and oversee the delegation of duties necessary for the continuance of the day‑to‑day warehouse operations. This role includes a broad scope of tasks, handling both tangible and human resources to achieve program objectives. You will perform and/or oversee various warehouse duties such as scheduling and risk management, WH&S assessments, machinery and equipment operation and care, receiving and dispatch, donor interaction and acknowledgment, inventory management and storage, training and supervision, stock‑taking, manufacturing of our packs, logistics, day‑to‑day communications and supporting a large team of volunteers in their day‑to‑day activities. To succeed in this role, you will be physically fit, competent on ladders, driving, carrying goods and safely operating lifting devices and machinery, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player with a positive “can‑do” attitude and a pleasant service‑oriented attitude. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule the movement of products throughout the warehouse, including sorting, receiving and storage of incoming goods Coordinate and oversee manufacturing to meet operational goals, preparation of orders and dispatch of finished goods Coordinate resources and activities to support events and special packing sessions Train, supervise, guide and delegate to warehouse volunteers Implement daily production and logistics plans Lead by example to affirm B4VK’s vision, mission and culture, positively and constructively representing the organisation in all opportunities and ensuring client/customer satisfaction is always the priority of the team Identify safety risks and act or report to provide highest level duty of care to our volunteers Plan and oversee stock take, handling any issues arising and working with the Chief Operations Officer to adjust data Support waste management, including distribution of surplus inventory Ensure warehouse staff and visitors follow all safety guidelines, policies and rules Ensure a positive and giving‑based culture is maintained Issue appropriate and required legal and compliance paperwork within the scope of the role, for example, signing attendance records of volunteers Contribute to the overall success of the organisation by sharing insights, recommendations, leads and information Highly desirable attributes Proven work experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Facilitator or similar role Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time‑management Strong client‑facing and teamwork skills Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control IT skills especially in inventory and manufacturing software #J-18808-Ljbffr
