About the Role This is a dynamic mixed role where you will: Provide engaging, developmentally-appropriate care for children in their homes (PLAYfocus) Deliver weekly STEAM activities as part of our INNOVATEclub program Travel between homes, kindergartens, and schools across Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast Build strong relationships with families and centres Follow program plans, risk assessments, and safety procedures Bring creativity, initiative, and professionalism to every session Job Summary As a PLAYfocus educator, you will: Provide safe, nurturing, developmentally aligned in-home care for children (newborn–15 years) Plan engaging play‑based and STEAM-inspired activities Support routines, wellbeing, and children’s individual needs Communicate with families to ensure consistency and trust Follow safety procedures and maintain high professional standards This component involves direct care duties you are responsible for the child’s safety and wellbeing for the duration of the session. As an INNOVATEclub educator, you will: Deliver structured STEAM sessions in kindergartens, schools, and early learning centres Facilitate hands‑on activities (science, engineering, art, maths, technology) Follow weekly lesson plans, risk assessments, and set‑up guides Support children’s curiosity, experimentation, and problem‑solving Represent HLG STEAMist Education professionally in each centre This component does NOT involve care duties , your role is strictly to deliver the STEAM class. Centre staff remain responsible for supervision and care. About the Combined Role You can move between both programs depending on bookings and your availability. The role suits educators who enjoy variety, independence, and working in different environments. Significant travel is involved, as sessions occur across Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast.
