Are you ready to do what you love? We’re always seeking welcoming, professional and guest-focused Hosts to be the face of our exceptional restaurants at Howard Smith Wharves. With sweeping river views, iconic architecture, and a portfolio of award-winning dining venues, Howard Smith Wharves is a destination for memorable hospitality experiences. Our venues are known for their atmosphere, service, and commitment to quality. We’re looking for standout hosts who love people and live for delivering elevated, warm service. You’ll be considered for one of our iconic restaurant venues based on your skills and availability: Stanley – Contemporary Cantonese with refined service and stunning river views Stan’s Lounge – An intimate, elevated experience nested within Stanley Mr Percival’s – HSW’s overwater bar with Mediterranean charm Ciao Papi – Italian riverside dining with heart and flair Key responsibilities include: Welcoming every guest with warmth, personality, and professionalism Coordinating reservations, waitlists and table plans with precision Managing guest expectations and wait times with confidence and care Communicating closely with floor and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of entry and host areas Upholding our high service standards and bringing positive energy to every shift Supporting pre- and post-service briefings and transitions What we’re looking for: Availability across Friday, Saturday and Sunday is essential Experience in premium dining, high-volume restaurants or luxury hospitality preferred Passion for people and delivering thoughtful, engaging guest interactions Confident using booking systems and coordinating floor movements Calm and composed under pressure, with excellent communication skills Knowledge of our venues and offerings (or willingness to learn quickly) A positive, proactive team player with a can-do attitude Hold a valid Queensland RSA Why you’ll love working for us: Development opportunities/career pathways 50% team discount precinct-wide across our incredible venues Wellbeing initiatives including team yoga, run club and access to independent confidential counselling services Team recognition rewards – we value our team and celebrate your hard work Extra week of annual leave after 5 years of service Our Culture: At ARTEMUS Group, joining our team means becoming part of a dynamic community committed to fostering connection, celebrating local flavours, and delivering exceptional experiences every day.
