(pro rata) – AHP2 – Ongoing Part-Time – working 22.5 hours per week About the Role: An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Music Therapist within the Older Persons Mental Health Service. We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Music Therapist to join our team, with the shared purpose of making a difference in the lives of older people. You will be passionate about working with older people who are experiencing challenges in mental health and well‑being, including people living with dementia. You will align with our commitment to deliver compassionate person and family‑centred care, built on values of dignity and respect. You will fully appreciate placing older people at the centre of care, championing their voice, and supporting their autonomy and recovery. As a Music Therapist you will provide caring and compassionate services to consumers living with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD). In this role you will provide music therapy to consumers of Northgate Neuro Behaviour Unit. This role includes delivery of individual and group programs, as well as support and advice to the multidisciplinary team. In this role you will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care in a holistic and respectful manner. To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in music therapy with eligibility for membership of the Australian Music Therapy Association.
