Do you want to take charge of the day-to-day operations of our kitchen to ensure we continue to deliver our high service standards? If YES, read on… This full time position involves: Prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with menus Ensure high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times Collaborate with the owner in developing the menu and creating new recipes Accept deliveries and checking invoices, weight and dates of product Train and support our kitchen employees to enable them to excel in their roles. Ensuring OH&S policies and procedures are followed by all staff. Work over a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays Other Tasks and Duties include: Manage weekly staff rosters, assist with recruitment, menu planning and pricing, weekly stock takes and ordering of stock, and generally overseeing the cafe functions and resolving any issues, reporting to the owners where necessary. Qualifications / Skills Trade Qualification or 2 years Previous Experience in Similar Role RSA Food and safety certificate essential Be able to work weekends on a rotating roster Salary : $70,000-$77,000pa Job Type: Full-time Ability to commute/relocate: Ballina NSW 2478: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Application Question(s): Do you already live in Australia?
