Apprentice Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a full-time Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to join our team and complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (MEM30219) to work with our small niche team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will gain hands‑on experience in the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of mechanical equipment, primarily focused on pump systems and fixed/mobile plant. This role offers the opportunity to develop multi‑disciplinary skills, including exposure to low‑voltage electrical work (auto‑electrics), making it an excellent foundation for a long‑term career. What We’re Looking For Self‑motivated, disciplined, and eager to learn Strong communication skills (reading/writing) and ability to work independently Commitment to safety and quality standards Willingness to learn how to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and documentation Interest in servicing pumps, plant trailers, and mechanical equipment Willingness to travel for technical support (including potential overseas trips) Key Responsibilities Represent WOMA professionally and deliver excellent customer service Assist with stock control and job bookings Collaborate with internal teams: Sales, Purchasing, Training, Spare Parts, Rental & Service Work safely in compliance with QA, safety systems, document control, and emergency procedures Maintain a clean and organized workspace Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours per week) Candidates must be 16+ years of age to be eligible for this apprenticeship. Requirements Right to work in Australia Current Driver’s Licence (provisional licence accepted) Willingness to undergo police clearance, reference checks, pre‑employment medical, and drug & alcohol testing WOMA is a smoke, vape, alcohol, and drug free workplace compliant Mechanical experience (preferred but not essential) WOMA Australia is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
