Machine Operators and Packing & Production Team Members (Shift work) The Yoghurt Shop is seeking Machine Operators and Production & Packing Team Members. Our team works in a fast-paced environment, adhering to strict quality and food safety guidelines, and takes pride in providing our customers with decadently tasty yoghurt We work shift work on a rotating roster across day, afternoon and night shift and are currently looking for dedicated Machine Operators and Production & Packing Team Members. Positions Available: We have both Permanent Part time and Casual positions available. Permanent Part-time: work a minimum four days per week, with the opportunity for additional available shifts, up to full-time hours as our production is made to order. Casual positions will attract a 25% casual loading. We are looking for individuals who: Understand the critical importance of quality, hygiene and food safety. If you are an effective problem-solver, great communicator with the ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships, then we want to hear from you Your new role As a Machine Operator or Production & Packing Team Member , you will be part of a team working under the supervision and guidance of a Shift Manager. You will be responsible for contributing to the production and/or packing of yogurt products in a timely manner, following approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities - Machine Operator include, but are not limited to: Strictly follow all hygiene, quality, WHS and food safety regulations, SOPs, policies and procedures Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed) Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools Test operation of machines periodically Fix issues within your skillset that might occur during the shift Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws Keep records of approved and defective units or final products and maintain activity logs Responsibilities for all Team Members (Machine Operator, Packing and Production) include, but are not limited to: Strictly follow all hygiene, quality and food safety regulations, SOPs, policies and procedures Work at different stations as production requires Inspect, weigh, and package products Monitor flow of product into processing machinery Verify compliance with quality, safety, production standards, work rules, and efficient operation of equipment Report potential production downtime, scrap production, and quality of each machine and summarise data from shift Maintain a clean and safe work environment What you need to succeed Machine Operator only: Proven experience as a machine operatorand working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.) Desired experience in Food Manufacturing industry Ability to strictly follow all regulations, SOPs, policies and procedures Ability to strictly adhere to Work, Health and Safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear) Able to lift up to 20 kilograms Able to stand up to 4 hours at a time Demonstrated ability to operate machinery Machine Operator only: Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail, self-motivation, and initiative. The ability to taste yoghurt and yoghurt products throughout production stage, which means no allergies to dairy or nuts You must have valid work rights in Australia and be able to provide two professional references of seniority.
