Where you'll be working The Northern NSW Local Health District extends from Tweed Heads in the north, to Tabulam and Urbenville in the west, and to Nymboida and Grafton in the south. We provide acute healthcare services in eight hospitals, and four Multi-Purpose Services (MPS). Our hospitals are located at: Ballina, Byron, Casino, Grafton, Lismore, Maclean, Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads. Our MPS facilities are located at: Bonalbo, Kyogle, Nimbin, Urbenville. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Addiction Medicine, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (Addiction Medicine) Demonstrated current clinical experience as a Senior Medical Officer in Addiction Medicine at the role delineation of the service Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage people effectively Demonstrated ability to work collaborative and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated highly developed communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement initiatives Availability to participate in an on call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time Valid unrestricted drivers’ licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment NNSWLHD is committed to reconciliation and strongly encourages Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people to apply for this position.
