Leading Hand machine Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leading Hand Machine Operator to join our fast-paced manufacturing team at Slab Technologies Pty Ltd in Smeaton Grange, NSW. In this hands on full-time role, you will lead a team of machine operators, ensuring efficient and effective production processes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This is a specialised role, we are looking for a candidate to bring a mechanical aptitude, strong leadership qualities and a willingness to learn new skills. What you'll be doing Supervise and coordinate a team of machine operators, providing guidance, training and support to ensure optimal performance Monitor production schedules and workflow, making adjustments as needed to meet targets and deadlines Identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery, implement corrective actions, and liaise with maintenance teams Ensure all production activities comply with company policies, safety protocols and quality standards Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations for your team members Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with other departments to optimise production processes and achieve business objectives What we're looking for Extensive experience as a machine operator, with a proven track record of leading and supervising a team Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, experience with Hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical systems highly regarded Experience with Boiler highly regarded Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and manage a team Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a thorough understanding of relevant regulations Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering discipline.
