About the role Bring Your Passion for Food & Care to Our Team We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join our vibrant kitchen crew at a state‑of‑the‑art, 144‑bed aged care facility in Tamworth, NSW. If you’re an industry professional with a can‑do attitude and love working in a team that makes a real difference, this is your chance to shine Role Schedules Role 1: Saturday to Tuesday (26 hours per week). All shifts are from 12:30pm till 7:30pm. Role 2: 40.5 hours for fortnight Week 1: Friday to Monday with 18 hours/week: All shifts are from 3:00pm till 7:30pm. Week 2: Thursday to Monday with 22.5 hours/week: All shifts are from 3:00pm till 7:30pm. Role 3: Thursday-Monday (25.5 hours per week). Monday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday from 3:00pm till 7:30pm. Saturday from 6:30am till 2:30pm. Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply. * The successful applicant must provide a current Federal Police Check certificate or be willing to apply for one. Skills and experience Aged Care experience is desirable, but not necessary. Reliable and punctual. Ability to multi‑task and perform work within deadlines. Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients. The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen. Key Responsibilities Providing meal service to elderly residents. Cleaning of kitchen, serveries and dining room set up. Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents. Washing dishes and plating of meals. Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen. Function set up and clear down. Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day‑to‑day tasks. Food and beverage service.
