Battery Production Engineer

The Role
The company has established the largest battery dry room in Australia with the construction of its advanced pouch cell production line. With this level of advanced manufacturing facilities, comes the need for assisting with the development, assembly, commissioning, and operation of this new pilot scale equipment.Along with this the role will involve working cross-functionally with a diverse team of research scientists, engineers, and production specialists to ensure seamless technology transfer and scale-up. Performing cell assembly, testing and analysis as needed, in addition to other tasks as required to deliver program objectives will also be required.
The Requirements
The ideal candidate will be Engineering qualified in either the mechanical, mechatronic or electrical disciplines and will have prior exposure to battery production or a similar manufacturing environment. A background in CAD and the ability to produce 3D-models and 2D technical drawings will be necessary, along with Proficiency in analysing production data to identify trends.In addition to this, foundation in electromechanical and control systems and Demonstrated ability to operate and troubleshoot complex equipment in a pilot or development environment will also be required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges, with the ability to think critically and creatively area must.Geelong based location.
