Retail Volunteer Vinnies Terrigal OPENING SOON Our Vinnies shops are a well‑established and much‑loved part of the Aussie retail landscape. In addition to being an op‑shop mecca for fans of all things quality and thrift, the shops generate revenue that supports a broad range of services for the community. They may also serve as a first point of contact for people seeking emergency assistance. As a retail volunteer, you will play a central role in the daily operations of the shop, contributing significantly to the St Vincent de Paul Society. Volunteer Role Provide customers with an excellent shopping experience. Sort and price donations. Assist with product display. Process sales through the Point of Sale (POS) cash register. Keep the store and sorting area tidy, whilst maintaining safe work practices. Who We’re Looking For People persons who are welcoming, encouraging and positive. Individuals who are willing to work within the ethos of the St Vincent de Paul Society. Respectful of others and flexible in their attitude to work and teamwork. Good time‑management skills and initiative to get the job done. No experience is required – in‑store coaching and training is provided. We welcome those with previous retail or hospitality backgrounds to share their experience and expertise with other volunteers in the shop.
