Part‑time Customer Service Specialist (fixed‑term contract) HIA Insurance Services (HIAIS) is a specialist insurance broker, providing insurance products and risk advice to the residential building industry. Formed in 1984 as a joint venture between Aon and the Housing Industry Association (HIA), our partnership leverages risk and insurance expertise alongside deep housing‑industry knowledge. In this role you will support our National Service Team and collaborate with Brokers to deliver exemplary customer service and administrative assistance. What the Day Will Look Like Manage enquiries and requests via web portals, email, and phone calls. Handle insurance applications, amendments, cancellations, and client payments. Process Home Warranty and Domestic Building Insurance applications. Monitor policy deadlines and send renewal notices within contractual timeframes. Maintain and update client CRM databases and online platforms, including data entry into Aon systems and a shared inbox across the team. Work with Excel data and reports to manage efficient and accurate invoicing. Collaborate with key stakeholders—Brokers, Services and Insurance teams—to provide customer service where required. Assist with additional administrative tasks and ad‑hoc management or project tasks as needed. Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success Demonstrated strong administration and customer‑service skills. Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment, using effective time‑management. High level of attention to detail and ability to accurately assess and complete work. Skill to prioritise multiple complex tasks to meet deadlines. Professional communication and presentation skills. Intermediate experience with MS Office and CRM platforms.
