Talent International is searching for an experienced Information Governance Specialist to join our Queensland Government client based in Brisbane CBD on a contract through to June 2026, with strong extension potential. Initial contract until 30 / 06 / 2026 + Likely Extensions 2 Days WFH Per Week Brisbane CBD Location The role : Our client is seeking an Information Governance Specialist to join their newly established Information Governance and Digital Enablement (IGDE) directorate. This role plays a critical part in uplifting information governance practices across the organisation, which manages a $40B asset base and a $2.2B annual capital works program. You will work within the Targeted Business Uplift team, using Agile and Lean methods to embed practical solutions that improve data quality, governance, and records management across business areas. Responsibilities : Assess and improve information governance and data management practices Collaborate with business areas to identify high-priority improvement opportunities Support identification and accountability of Information Asset Owners Develop and implement governance tools, templates, and resources Improve metadata, records management, and knowledge management practices Embed governance improvements into divisional ways of working Requirements : 5+ years’ experience in information governance, data governance, or information management roles (Qld Gov experience highly regarded) Strong technical expertise in governance frameworks and emerging industry trends Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts Qualifications or certifications in information / data governance or records management (desirable) Agile / Lean delivery experience (desirable) How to Apply : To find out more, please “Apply for this job” or contact James Grierson or Mats Rorvik at : or For over 30 years, Talent has been redefining the contracting experience with industry-leading support, exclusive contractor benefits, and a world-class digital platform ENGAGE to access it all.
