Role Overview At Goldwind Australia, we’re driving the transition to renewable energy through teamwork, innovation, and shared expertise. As a (Mid-senior) Power Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and connecting wind farms and battery energy storage systems (BESS). You’ll be part of a collaborative team where technical challenges are solved together, and where you can continue to deepen your expertise while mentoring others along the way. Responsibilities Work as part of the Power Systems team to deliver grid connection studies for wind farms and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This includes model development in PSSE, PSCAD, and PowerFactory, model tuning in line with the NER Clause S5.2.5, performing DMAT, SSIAG, the benchmarking exercise, preparing technical reports, and delivering submission packages (R0/R1/R2). Work closely with the clients, other team members, and the R&D team on testing activities for wind farms and BESS systems, including Hold Point testing, model overlays, performance verification, report writing, and communicating with AEMO/NSP on technical matters. Provide technical support to external stakeholders on Goldwind models and Goldwind products. Work with external consultants to deliver technical analysis to Goldwind’s project needs. Work with Grid Connection Managers as requested from time‑to‑time to assist them with technical matters in Power Systems. Qualifications Experience in power systems engineering and control engineering is desirable. Experience in using PSCAD, PSS/E and PowerFactory software. Familiarity with NEM grid connection and testing procedures. Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering discipline (electrical, power systems or control engineering). Good interpersonal skills and the ability to understand complex technical issues. Competitive compensation package and benefits.
