The Ethics Centre is seeking an Associate Producer to join the dynamic team who produces the biennial Festival of Dangerous Ideas (FODI) as well as an annual program of public events. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and creative producer, with some technical and production experience, who thrives in a fast‑paced, ideas‑driven environment. About the Role Reporting to the Executive Producer/ Head of Public Programs, you’ll play a key role in producing Australia’s leading ideas festival and supporting a diverse program of public talks, workshops, digital events and collaborations across The Ethics Centre’s annual program. You’ll work closely with the Festival Director and Executive Producer to deliver the next edition of FODI in August 2026, while also supporting The Ethics Centre’s ongoing public program including The Ethics Of series, Tune Up workshops, podcasts and special events. Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning and delivery of Festival of Dangerous Ideas and The Ethics Centre’s annual program of events. Coordinate scheduling, logistics and travel for festival Talent and participants. Provide production and event management support across live and digital programs. Manage ticketing systems, reporting and audience data in collaboration with the Communications team. Support funding and partnership activities, including grant writing and acquittals. Contribute to curatorial research and new project development. Maintain safety and operational standards for Festival site and The Ethics Centre venues. Act as a key point of communication between internal teams and external partners. About You You’re an energetic and detail‑oriented producer with a passion for contemporary ideas, culture and live events. You’re equally comfortable managing logistics and engaging creatively in program development. You’ll bring: Proven experience in festival, live performance, or event production. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Confidence working with diverse artists, speakers and partners. A collaborative mindset and the ability to juggle multiple projects with competing timelines, and demanding deadlines.
