Lead / Senior Process Engineer - Operational Readiness

Wood is seeking a Lead Process Engineer – Operational Readiness to be involved in a unique and technically challenging gold project in its Brisbane Minerals & Metals team. This position is based in Brisbane, Queensland on a 6‑month contract with possibility for extension. Wood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future. With presence across the globe we are active in leading the way from front end conceptual studies through to EPCM delivery in Copper, Rare‑Earths, Nickel, Gold, Lithium etc. Based on a current project opportunity within our Mining & Minerals business, we are seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer with strong gold project experience to join our Process team. Our Vision: Deliver Solutions that transform the world Our Values: Care, Courage, Commitment We are looking for a Lead Process Engineer with relevant gold minerals processing experience, specifically with operational readiness. As an engineer with qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or another related field from a recognised institution, you will have: Relevant experience in minerals processing plant design including comminution, gravity, leaching, dewatering, reagents and utilities. Experience with gold processing operations is essential. Previous experience in an Operational Readiness role would be highly regarded. Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical, literacy and numeracy skills. Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team. Well‑developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs.
