As our new Senior Substation Commissioning Engineer, you'll be the secret sauce in a team of top-notch specialists who turn ideas into reality for our clients. You’ll be working with a vibrant multi-disciplinary crew on a smorgasbord of HV projects. Get ready to dive into a variety of exciting and challenging projects across Australia. Your ideas won't just be heard—they’ll be celebrated Your Role Will Include: Carry out primary and secondary commissioning activities for transmission/distribution substations and renewable energy projects. Test and validate electrical systems to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards. Diagnose and resolve technical issues during the commissioning process. Work closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and efficiently. Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation, test reports and ITP’s. Understand the critical technical aspects of projects, implementation, and integration for complex systems. Liaise with clients and contractors regarding project objectives and targets on technical issues and problem resolution. What Are We Looking for From You? Possess a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Have at least 3-5 years of experience in commissioning electrical systems, particularly in substations and renewable energy projects. Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and relevant standards. Proficient in using testing and diagnostic equipment. Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willing to travel and work at various project sites throughout Australia. Site experience/ experience in projects being constructed and commissioned. Proficiency in offering solutions to technical challenges. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including effective influencing, motivation, and delegation skills. Ability to work well with others to deliver as a team.
