Youth Advisory Council Member (Volunteer Role) The merger of SecondBite and FareShare has amplified our collective impact in the fight against food waste and hunger. We’re now forming a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) — a group of emerging leaders passionate about sustainability, community, and reducing food waste. As a Council Member, you’ll play a strategic role in shaping initiatives, generating fresh ideas, and supporting events that drive awareness, advocacy, and youth engagement. This is your chance to influence real projects, develop leadership skills, and make a tangible difference helping Australians in need. Key Responsibilities Provide input into youth‑focused initiatives and events. Collaborate with SecondBite | FareShare teams to design and deliver engaging activities. Act as an ambassador for our mission to reduce food waste and hunger. Help build awareness and inspire peers to take action. Contribute flexibly, with options to be more involved during event delivery. Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking emerging changemakers based in Australia who are: Passionate about sustainability, community, or events. Interested in developing leadership and project skills. Able to contribute flexibly, alongside study or work commitments. (The YAC is designed to reflect youth perspectives, but all applications are welcome.) What You’ll Gain Hands‑on experience in event design, advocacy, and project delivery. Leadership development and exposure to the not‑for‑profit sector.
