We’re looking for a hands-on Venue Manager to lead our small, passionate team and continue to deliver the warm, professional service Paloma is known for. The Role This is an operational leadership role, working closely with the owners and executive team from The Glenelg Public House (second venue) to manage day-to-day service, oversee stock and financial performance, and keep standards high across bar and floor. Key Responsibilities Lead and motivate the FOH team to deliver outstanding guest experiences Oversee bar and floor operations, ensuring smooth, consistent service Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships Monitor COGS, wages, and daily financial performance Prepare and manage weekly rosters in line with budget Support with wine and beverage selection and menu updates Maintain a strong culture of accountability, communication, and care Coordinate and facilitate private events and group bookings, from enquiry to execution About You Proven experience in a management or senior supervisor role within a bar or restaurant Solid understanding of wine and beverage service Confident managing stock, wages, and COGS (Lightspeed inventory and deputy would be highly regarded) Strong leadership and communication skills Calm, professional, and hands‑on, leading from the floor, not the office A genuine love for hospitality and building a loyal local following Experience in recruitment of new staff and ongoing candidate pool management.
