Coordinator of Student Engagement and Wellbeing Coordinator of Student Engagement and Wellbeing – Junior School Status: Fixed Term, Full TimeCommencing: Term 1, 2026Focus: Foundational regulation, behaviour, social connection, communication, inclusion, and family partnerships. Coordinator of Student Engagement and Wellbeing – Senior School Status: Permanent, Full TimeCommencing: Term 1, 2026Focus: Adolescent wellbeing, protective behaviours, social participation, attendance, engagement, and transition pathways. Location for both roles: Mancel College, Fig Tree Pocket, Brisbane Why This Role Matters You will not simply coordinate wellbeing. You will lead, design, coach and elevate it. Your influence will be felt in every classroom, every corridor, and every student milestone. You will coach and empower teachers and staff across the college so that wellbeing is not reliant on solo intervention, but strengthened through collective capability. Of course, you will step in directly when needed. But the lasting impact of your role comes from building systems, confidence, knowledge, and relational practice across the school. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of teachers and school assistants, guiding them with clarity, empathy, evidence, and purpose. Your work will help create a culture where students feel safe, connected, capable, and understood. What You Will Do Lead the development and implementation of engagement and wellbeing frameworks using data‑informed, iterative processes aligned to evidence‑based, neuroaffirming practice. Coach, mentor and empower staff at all levels, strengthening practice and lifting capability across the College. Foster a culture of safety, belonging and wellbeing that prioritises the physical, emotional and mental health of every student. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to embed wellbeing into the academic and social life of the school. Build strong, proactive relationships with families, supporting shared responsibility and transparent communication. Monitor behaviour, attendance and wellbeing data to identify trends and guide early intervention. Coordinate individual support plans and guide restorative, preventative and escalation‑reduction approaches. Lead your staff team with clear expectations, relational leadership, and accountability. What You Will Not Do You will not work in isolation. Collaboration is central to the role. You will not rely on one‑size‑fits‑all solutions. Students deserve responsiveness. You will not lead reactively. Your work is strategic, proactive and grounded in data. You will not carry wellbeing alone. A core function is to build capability, not operate as a solo responder. You will not overlook student voice. Students are partners in their learning and growth. What You Will Bring A deep commitment to student wellbeing and a belief in the potential of every learner. Proven leadership experience in education, wellbeing, engagement or inclusion. Qualifications in Education, Allied Health, Counselling or a related field (teaching experience highly desirable). Expertise in neurodevelopmental differences and support for students with Language Disorder. Skill in coaching and leading multidisciplinary teams with empathy, clarity and boundaries. Ability to navigate complex family circumstances with professionalism and child‑centred practice. Strong communication skills and the capacity to build relational trust across students, families and staff. A data‑informed approach to planning, reviewing and improving wellbeing initiatives. Resilience, creativity and the ability to manage competing priorities calmly and reflectively. BENEFITS What can we give you in return for your passion: • An exceptionally satisfying experience as you connect those that need support with the right support. • Professional Development: Expand your skill set with internal and external transdisciplinary development, external and internal growth opportunities. • More take home pay: How can we offer this?
