The Portfolio Lead is responsible for the end-to-end management, assessment, and settlement of a portfolio of claims, delivering client focused recovery solutions that restore confidence and build a more resilient Victoria. Reporting to the Head of DBI Claims in the Insurance division, the role leads a specialized stream of claims management Claims Triage, Insolvency Claims, Defects Claims or Multi Unit Claims. What we are looking for Significant experience in claims management, particularly management of technically complex matters, within Domestic Building Insurance / Builders Warranty Insurance or similar scheme (e.g. Property Claims). Demonstrated knowledge and experience in insurance claims management including Hand on Claims management experience within Domestic Building Insurance / Builders Warranty Insurance or similar scheme Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present insights in plain language and influence decision making For a detailed overview of responsibilities, please refer to the attached position description. About the BPC The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing. It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation. Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance.
