The Role
The ABC is looking for a Social Content Lead to lead a high performing team in managing the operation of key ABC Content branded social accounts including ABC iview, ABC Kids and ABC Listen. You will provide guidance, feedback, and content approval to the team of Social Media Producers as well as strategic advice across the Content division to develop and steer ABC social strategy. The location of the role is flexible to be located in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
The Job
Lead the development of social content for relevant broadcast commissions and social/digital-first initiatives.
Oversee the day to day operations and content activities, including people management, for key brand accounts on social e.g. ABC iview, ABC Kids, ABC Listen.
Lead the development of ideas and methods for the integration of social media content supporting TV broadcast and share these with program teams and assist in their development.
Work closely with key stakeholders within the Content division including programming leads, screen genre heads and commissioning executives

About You
You're a strong and empathetic leader with a deep understanding of social audiences for screen and are highly experienced in working in the social/digital media environment.
You’ll have extensive experience in the following:
Social media use and management for brand and community building.
Using and interpreting data from social media reporting and analytics tools.
Working with key social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok etc. and strong knowledge of digital media industry developments and audience trends.
Leading teams and mentoring colleagues in social media and/or video production.
