Fremantle Ports refreshed 2027 Strategic Plan marks an exciting new chapter for one of Australia’s most successful ports. Building on decades of expertise, we’re setting a bold vision for the future, and we need an experienced, values-driven Aboriginal Engagement Coordinator to help make it happen. You’ll coordinate the initiatives within Fremantle Ports’ Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and advance the organisation’s appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories; as well as taking a lead role to establish and maintain relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Role Highlights As Aboriginal Engagement Coordinator, you will meaningfully influence the outcomes of the RAP leading to improved recruitment and procurement outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the community. You won’t be doing this alone, you’ll join a tight-knit team who pride themselves on excellent service and delivery of effective solutions. Responsibilities Coordinate the Reconciliation Action Plan activities. Use change management processes to get the RAP initiatives established. Increase the organisation’s understanding, value and recognition of Aboriginal cultures, histories, knowledge and rights through advising on organisational cultural learning. Establish relationships with Aboriginal stakeholders and organisations for the RAP initiatives. Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver initiatives that increase economic participation, training, employment opportunities and retention. Attend and prepare papers for relevant forums, committees and as required for the business. Support the coordination of events and activities to promote awareness and initiatives. Required Experience Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and businesses growing cultural knowledge and capabilities within organisations. Experience in project management and execution. Proven track record of developing and successfully implementing reconciliation initiatives within organisations. Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and influencing. Broad business experience to understand and deliver business outcomes.
